IT'S CHRIIIIIIIISTMAAAAAAAS...

Are you hanging up your stocking on the wall?

I'm not, but we're making 5.4 look that little bit more christmassy with tinsel and a teeny tiny tree, courtesy of becky!

Christmas week is a weird week- you're away from home, away from your family, away from everything normal that happens around christmas time, plus you're surrounded by people with their families, which a lot of the time makes it worse! But, you have to appreciate that everyone else is in the same boat as you.. so make the most of it! We were all given a secret santa, mine was Danny, which was great but i had no idea what to buy him, with a budget of €10, you couldn't exactly go mad, but i bought him a bottle of tequila, classy i know!

I'm looking forwards to seeing my family's reaction when they open the big bag of presents me and Nathan (my brother) bought them, all set with a fetching christmas pudding bobble hat, and two lovely festive jumpers for mum and dad.. beautifully modelled on christmas day as so..

 One of the highlights was that Baz (my lovely grandad) was allowed home from hospital for christmas, and i face timed him which was amazing! His face brightened up my day, and reduced me to tears.. happy ones though! Either way guys, i hope you've all had a lovely christmas, and have a vin chaud on me! Lots of love X

First week of guests.. done!

We did it! First week of guests out of the way, it's been a learning curve to say the least, there has been many ups and downs and mixed feelings, as everything is still so new! But, now i feel like i'm finding my feet, this week i was on lesson check - improvers with Jen (wahoooo!), snow club and cocoa club, all pretty intimidating the first time but as the week went on all was good! I think most people had a good first week, obviously guests cannot expect perfection as there will always be teething problems- easily fixed though, we all did try bloody hard, and i for one am proud of all of us! We're all shattered, it's been a busy week, and there are many more to come!!!

By the way, i do miss all of you back at home, all the time, i'm just wayyyyy too busy to think about missing home when i have a million and one things to think about here! I'm a busy bee at the moment, and i'm gonna buzz off now as i'm going skiing, OHHHH it's such a hard life.. also, my ski's are the best money i've ever spent! I love them, i love skiing, i love snow and at the moment.. i just love life! 

Butt Pirate is coming to town..

This was a momentous occasion, my partner in crime from last year NICKI HEYER, is coming to town! For me, way more exciting than santa claus! I cannot wait to see this girl, this means 3 out of the 4 girls from C2K room 130 are reunited, and next week, another 3.. why couldn't it all be at once!
:( the havoc we would have unleashed would have been excellent! But, no i am beyond excited to paint the town with buttpirate, the nickname she inherited last season, just a circulation of rumours, none of which were true but all utterly hilarious!

We had a great night, Alex and Nicki and i, a little worse for wear.. but just like old times! We just needed our fourth to complete the reunion.. Sam! We had to be up early for work, so we left Nicki in bed and said our goodbyes, wahhhhh, it's gonna be at least 6 months before i see her again! bloody med student.. LOVE YOU FOREVER! 

This weeks been crazy.. i think we're ready!

So, tomorrow our first guests arrive.. AHHHH! To be honest i think we'll be fine, everything is set up,  snow club looks wicked, i've never painted so much in my life! Everyone is all bright eyed and bushy tailed, but probably not mentally prepared for the chaos that will unleash in the first week of guests, but nevertheless we're ready! This weeks been great, we've had a couple of good nights out, once which ended very oddly, one guy got so hammered, he ripped the radiator off of his wall, and passed out, resorting in his roommate coming to see us to see if we knew the recovery position! which was crazy but better to be safe than sorry, we then stuck him in the shower and hosed him down haha, so funny! but getting to bed at 5am when you have to be in work at 7 wasn't the best..! butttttt we familiarised ourselves with the resort, and just had loads of fun, setting up the hotel is a bit of a bore but once it's done it's done! Time to sleep.. it's gonna be a hectic week! Wish us as the Ducs De Savoie luck..

Set up week/party time!

So, we arrive in resort, me and Alex are greeted by Ethan, Henry and John! Reunited after months and months, which is lovely! :) we meet everyone else, the HA's all seem very reserved and probably in a state of shock after we all arrived, we're a pretty loud bunch..! So, after we have a short intro talk with management, we all go outside and play some games, splat.. (my personal favourite and a game to this day which i have never lost, against anyone!) we played Hadouken, and a few others, i was pretty damn good if i do say so myself! What we really all wanted, was to see where we were living! And more importantly.. who with! It turns out, me, Beck, Jen and Vicki were together, but Alex is elsewhere (HUGE, gay, rubbish mix up) but after some sorting out, we were once again reunited as a 5 and all living in the same flat! Our room is alright, will definitely suffice.. Verdettes 5.4, our new home! It will definitely look more homely once we've plastered the walls in photos and cards and stuff.. i'm excited! Val is so beautiful, i'm very happy right now!!!! Let the fun and games commence..

What a busy week! LETS GO TO VAL...!!!!

As the wifi was awful at the UCPA.. (sorry!) i haven't really been able to get on here much, we had slots, and they're not long enough for me to post something as i always get distracted by something or someone! This week has been interesting to say the least, it's been loads of fun! Exhausting, and a little boring at times when we were sat in that room for hours at a time, but i've learnt a lot and am very, very, VERY excited to leave for resort tomorrow! My brain feels frazzled, however i've had so much fun singing songs, and playing games and meeting new people, i'm ready to go to resort now, ready to set up the hotel, and ready to get out of this bloody hostel! TAKE ME TO VAL!

Let the training commence..

So after a very long 20 hour bus journey which unlike last year i slept incredibly well.. we finally arrive at our destination, Les Arcs, the not so lovely looking UCPA - hostel. Greeted by our management team we hauled our bags into the reception, myself and many others having at least 2 bags each, this took multiple trips! What the hell did i pack, I'm exhausted! However, little did we know we'd have to take our bags up 14 flights of stairs, to the 7th floor. Kill me now, all of our jaws hit the floor with disbelief, it took us forever, blood sweat and tears went into that undeniably tiring experience. The room was shared between 4, there was Jenny, Becky, Vicki and me, and Alex was our honorary roommate! it wasn't too bad.. it suited us fine! On each of our beds we were graced with the lovely Esprit uniforms.. fleece, jacket, polo shirts and a fetching hat! (much more of an improvement than last years HA uniform, eurgh!) Though we all brought WAY too much stuff.. as girls do, straight away our sink and the surrounding areas were jam packed with girly toiletries and soon enough we were all using each other's stuff, as after all, we'd most likely be living with or very near each other anyway!

After we'd basically died doing that trip, we were all required downstairs for a kind of introduction to training, there were SO many people it was crazy! We were divided into our resorts, and put into a room, there were two resorts to a room, we shared with Courchevel- the resort i was in last year! Our room was covered in posters about uniform, appearance, rules and regulations and lots and lots of songs which throughout the week we'd have to learn.. no doubt i'll probably wake up singing them!

The first night was just a standard mixer, i spoke to a few people i knew from last season, and made friends with my team for this season, everyone seems lovely so far! The first night most people had a pretty early night, I slept like a baby, and was ready and raring to go for the first actual day of training the following morning. Our CCM Tommy seems pretty cool, i think we're going to have a wicked season with him! Our head ranger Nancy, seems lovely too! So far, so good.. i'll keep you updated!
