Okay, so, i've set up this blog as an up to date diary of my season in Val D'isere, i leave in 2 days and am beyond excited!!! This'll be my second season spent in the mountains, working again, but this year i have a new job title.. a Snow Ranger (childcare) I'm virtually packed, but obviously can't fully pack as i have 2 days left and still need clothes to wear, packing was a nightmare, but after being told i could take my boot bag as well as my ski bag and my main holdall, all my worries disappeared and life was good again. I cannot contain my excitement, some of my friends from my previous season are already out there waiting for me, and i will see a few more familiar returners at childcare training!
It's a weird feeling knowing that come sunday, 7 months of waiting to get back out to the mountains will be over, and i will again be stepping on a coach about to endure a 22 hour journey and leaving my family behind, which is one of the hardest things i have ever had to do! Obviously leaving friends behind is hard too, but we have FaceTime which makes things a lot easier. Right now i'd say I'm 90% excited, 10% apprehensive, but I'm sure once i'm on my way excitement will take over and i'll be ready to embark on my 5 and a half month adventure!
To keep my mind of things i'm constantly keeping in touch with people, whether it be friends from last season or friends from home, either way, I'm always talking/being with people which makes things a whole lot easier when i know what's coming very soon. There are a few goodbye's I'm dreading, but i guess either way i'll have to deal with it because there's nothing i can do, there are some things i'd like to say to some people but i just can't bring myself to do it at the moment, anyway, i will not depress myself or you guys by writing anymore and feeling sorry for myself!
