Work, work, work!

I'm enjoying work a lot more now, probably because i actually know what i'm doing and am comfortable in my job role! A part of me kind of misses being a HA talking to guests and serving them in the evening, but i must say being a ranger is a lot more fun! Don't get me wrong sometimes it's very stressful as you've got loads of children to look after and tend to in a very small space of time, one thing they don't tend to understand is that there are a lot of them, and only a few of us!.. so sometimes it's rather overwhelming! But it's a lot of fun, i love lesson checks! we have some of the most amazing ski instructors with Evo 2, they're hilarious! and make work so much fun, the children love them aswell and are actually excited to walk to ski lessons in the morning to go skiing, the other shifts we do, such as snow club- an afternoon club for children where we do activities such as bum boarding, going to the farm, go to the park etc, cocoa club- an evening club which we hold in our snow club room every night from 7.30-10, we have an activity plan which consists of arts and crafts, games, challenges etc. Mini cocoa, for our younger children, ages 3-5, this is where we read stories and play some games to wind them down before they go to sleep, which many of them do during the course of the club anyway! And last but not least baby listening, this is where we sit on the hotel corridor, for 3.5-4 hours and listen in on children every 15 minutes whilst their parents enjoy their 3 course meal! It's a boring shift, but if you have a book or something to do then it flies by, and also a lot of parents come up earlier than 11pm anyway, which always makes us very happy!
